About The Event

It has been almost 10 years since I AM ELEVEN was released in cinemas, and today it remains an inspiring and candid look at this magical age. Genevieve Bailey, will join us after the movie to share her filmmaking journey. She travelled the world for six years talking with 11-year-olds to compose this insightful, funny and moving documentary portrait of childhood. From an orphanage in India, to a single-parent household in inner-city Melbourne, to bathing with elephants in Thailand, I AM ELEVEN explores the lives and thoughts of children from 15 countries. I AM ELEVEN weaves together deeply personal and at times hilarious portraits of what it means to sit at this transitional age.

$6 youth and $11 adult tickets available HERE

We encourage everyone to bring a non-perishable food donation for The Stop Community Food Center to the movie. Of particular need Rice, Beans, Peas, pasta, oatmeal, cereal. The Stop uses a holistic approach to increase access to healthy food in a manner that maintains dignity, builds health and community, helps community members access resources, and challenges inequality.
