The Junior Branch is a global movement that offers opportunities for youth to develop attitudes, skills and knowledge through educational initiatives that contribute to the mission and vision of CISV.
The very heart and soul of CISV, Junior Branch is made up of local CISVers between the ages of 11 - 18. The JB is a self-governing group that organizes educational activities and support Peace Education campaigns and events throughout the year.
Anyone is welcome to join the JB, whether you have taken part in a CISV programme before or not!

The CISV Canada National Junior Branch will accept applications until
November 20, 2022, from 14-26 year olds for the following 1 year term positions:
Junior Branch Development Officer (JBDO)
The role of the JBDO is to work with struggling and new Junior Branches with recruitment and retention, activity planning, and succession planning. The JBDO will work with chapters while following and adding to the newly created Development guide
The role of the Training Specialist is to work with the NJRs and chapters to create a training outline based on the training curriculum for the year. This will include helping plan the National Junior Branch Training (NJBT), which happens over the May long weekend, regional trainings and local trainings.
Development Committee Chair (DCC)
The DCC is responsible for facilitating the work of the Development Committee in addition to contributing to the projects of the Committee. The DCC is the main contact for the Committee as well as oversees the connections between other related committees within CISV. A past example of a DCC project is the JB Canada Sustainability Guide.
